The Buffalo Museum of Science is a non-profit educational institution ALL about giving kids a place that makes science interesting and fun.
There certainly is a lot to see and do! Their collection has over 700,000 specimens and artifacts that represent everything about the natural world that you could want to learn about!
Being the Buffalo Museum, there is an emphasis on Western New York, as well as man-made objects from across the globe. Pretty cool!
The Buffalo Museum of Science is filled with fun and interactive exhibits which kids can explore - each one teaching them something different and unique.
If you have toddlers and pre-school scientists in the family, then Explorations is where they should head! The activities were all designed around early childhood learning and development, and those inspired minds can learn through play all about light, weather, space, energy...and much more!
It's great for parents to learn and play with the kids too!
There are exhibits on health where kids can explore biology, genetics, and their own bodies, and exhibits on motion! Pushing, pulling, engineering, physics...it's all there!
The museum has exhibits on those little creatures that creep, crawl and fly (we mean bugs!) and exhibits that will send kids up into space (not literally of course!)
The Buffalo Museum of Science has also installed 3D technology into its 400-seat auditorium! Paid guests receive one free 3D film with general museum admission, subject to available show times. Pretty amazing!
