Brigham City Museum is where kids can learn through a whole range of temporary exhibits that cover natural history, art, and so much more. Best of all? It's FREE to enter!
The Brigham City Museum changes it's exhibits regularly, so there is always something to go back and see. There is so much to learn!
The exhibits range in topic, and it's always great to see what they have next! Examples of exhibits include the history of the annual Peach Days of Brigham City, or the incredible artistry of the Hawaiian quilts.
One of the most popular exhibits is the history exhibits. Here, kids can really experience first hand what it's like to live in a pioneers homestead. They can push a plough in a field, and bend metal just like those blacksmiths would have done.
They can even drill holes with an auger, and weigh bags of "gold"! Have you ever churned butter or made strawberry pies? You can at the Brigham City Museum!
It's such a great way to spend time as a family. You can all complete your "work" at The Homestead, and then see real life pioneer furniture and artifacts. Some of these were actually made in the city, or brought across the plains in the mid-late 1800s. Some items include ice skates, and an early English scale. Pretty cool!
Kids, can you just imagine what life would have been like back in the 1860s? The smells, the sounds...
Also on the site the Box Elder Museum is a new natural history collection, which is also free to visit.
Great learning fun at the Brigham City Museum - let's get learning!
