Boggy Creek Farm is a charming little produce farm in Austin, Texas, where kids can learn ALL about fresh fruits and vegetables, and where they come from!
Have they ever thought apples grow in supermarkets, or wondered where a carrot lived before ending up on their plate?
Bring the kids down and make a day of wondering around all their beautiful produce - some of it is all year round! The organic produce will be available any time of the year, but of course there are spring vegetables too.
It's not just vegetables they sell either - they have eggs straight from their Hen House, as well as a whole range of free range meats and even authentic rain water! (Also a great way to catch a drink, kids, if there is every a rain storm outside!)
And kids, you will like this - CHOCOLATE! They have a delicious cross between a brownie and a truffle, and parents, never you worry as it's gluten free!
You are more than welcome to head on down with the family and enjoy a self-guided tour of the farm (August to October). All of the areas are open to the public! Kids will love learning about all areas of the farm and seeing the food grow in its natural environment.
If you would like to enjoy a guided tour of the farm, you can enjoy a 45 minute tour - it is a working farm after all so you can get the ins and outs of how it works!
Grab Old MacDonald and come on down!
