Black Pine Animal Sanctuary

Barriers and naturalistic habitats ensure the animals are not only safe and secure, but that they are comfortable and not stressed in their surroundings. Their welfare is of upmost importance and is taken very seriously.

Unfortunately there are no baby facilities available.

You are more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks (no alcohol, and note that no cooking equipment is available) as there are spots you can set up a picnic lunch for your family. There are only cold soft drinks vending machines available to buy at the Sanctuary.

It’s important to note that this is not a zoo, but a sanctuary. The animals welfare is priority and so visitors will be chaperoned.

A variety of affordable gifts and souvenirs are available to purchase, and not only do they give you a lovely reminder of your visit, but your money will also support their non-profit mission, meaning you help make the animals happier!

Programs for schools are available for classes to come and learn outside of the school walls. These are available primarily from May to September.

Wheelchairs and strollers and often used, although please note that the pathways are loose gravel and asphalt rather than paved so not ideal. The staff will be happy to help in anyway they can. Best to call ahead for assistance and advice.
