About this activity

Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is a animal fun galore in New York State!

Kids can meet and learn all about animals from all over the world within this zoological experience complete with naturalistic enclosures containing a wide range of animals, reptiles and birds.

They might find themselves face to face with their favorites, including the two-toed sloth, nubian goat and even the cougar. Throughout the zoo there are also species that are critically endangered including the snow leopard and ruffled lemur. It's at these enclosures kids can also learn invaluable lessons about conservation, and why it's so important to look after our animals and planet!

Daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the family can also enjoy watching Keeper Talks discussing the habits and habitats of a number of animals including Red Pandas, African Penguins and Big Cats, to name a few!

Did you know that Binghamton Zoo also has other activities that the kids can enjoy? How about taking a ride on the zoo's trackless train? Great for kids of all ages, the train is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, and select weekends outside of the peak season.

Face painting is also available at stations around the zoo, free of charge too!

Keep an eye out for fun events that the zoo hosts across the year, including seasonal fun and Boo at the Zoo - the very spooky Halloween special!
