About this activity

Let's go WILD on our next family day out in Baton Rouge, at Baton Rouge Zoo!

This family friendly zoo is one of the most popular places in Louisiana's capital for kids to visit, and when you head there, you will see why!

Hundreds of species from all around the world have come YOU, so you can come face to face with your favorites, and maybe see some you have never heard of before!

The magic of Africa can be explored with some pretty incredible species, from the majestic Aldabra Tortoise, to the swift bongo. Kids can see creatures such as the Plover fly in the trees, the pythons slither nearby, and those rhinos graze.

Next, why not move through the mystery of Asia with cuties such as the ferret, the unusual Indian Flying Fox, an the very special Malayan Tiger.

Kids can bounce along with the red kangaroos from Australia, or marvel at the strange Tapir of South America....there is SO much to see!

The zoo is also about learning, and with these amazing animal encounters kids can learn all about their habits and their habitats, but don't miss some other events that really give kids that learning experience. They can visit the zoo at night, and near all those nocturnal creatures come to life, or they can enjoy a Twilight Tour!

Even kids between 3 and 5 years can enjoy the Zoo & Me Mornings where it's ALL about them, with animal encounters, train rides, and fun snacks!

So let's get WILD this next family day out in Baton Rouge, with Baton Rouge Zoo - ROAR!
