There is plenty of space to lay a towel and just relax on the beach. Four miles of pristine beach to be exact! Or why not get out onto the water with a host of water sports, including windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking.

Here you can visit Coquina Quarry, which is an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to create the nearby fortress, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The full-facility campground is located in a wooded area within easy bicycling or walking distance of the beach, if you decide to extend your family day out into something longer.

If you don't have your own equipment to get out onto the water, check out Anastasia Watersports who rent canoes, sailboards, paddleboats, and kayaks. Lessons on various water sports are available too.
