It's time to get WILD in Alaska!
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is a non-profit organization that provides refuge for orphaned, injured and ill animals, as well as cares for animals that cannot survive on their own in the wild, and YOU can visit to meet Alaska's wildlife!
Here, you get to explore over 200 ares of animal enclosures using the scenic 1 1/2 mile loop, either by foot or by car, and along the way you get to see and learn all about these amazing creatures that live in the center.
You can learn all about the individual animals stories, and what the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is doing to care for them, and give them the best life possible. Because of their backgrounds, many of the animals won't be able to return to the wild, so this is their FURever home!
Kids might spot some gorgeous brown bears cooling off in the water, or see a grand moose strutting along the grasslands, and even wood bison roaming on the pastures!
Also at the AWCC are iconic Bald Eagles, sly wolves, cheeky porcupines and the curious lynx. It's a WILD day out in Alaska, where kids can enjoy animal experiences they won't ever forget!
