Blair Castle has been home of the Atholl family for over seven centuries. It has lots of history that has seen both turbulent and peaceful times from the past 750 years. The history is brought to life through the 18th century interiors and architectures.
The castle has been home to politicians, soldiers and more throughout it's lifetime and gives you the opportunity to see the history through furniture, portraits and more.
The entrance hall has a vast weapon display including shields which were used at the Battle of Culloden.
The Dining Room is vast and grand and the Drawing Room including embroidered furniture and has one of the finest ceillings in Scotland.
See the tapestry room and the grand ballroom which has been host to many highland balls, weddings and private dinners over the hundreds of years.
The castle also offers private tours for visitors too where you'll be told lots of facts and interesting history along the way. The special exhibitions show the fascinating history of Blair Castle too, which dig deeper into the lives who have lived and worked at the castle itself.
HEad out to the beautiful gardens with a nine-acred walled garden, red deer park and a gothic folly. You'll see Highland cattle graze in the fields and you may even spot a native red squirrel too! The peacocks roam freely too, so get our your camera!

Is Blair Castle fully accessible?
Your entry ticket allows admittance to the whole of the ground floor which is accessible by wheelchair from the disabled parking area and gives access to several display rooms
