About American Museum and Gardens

American Museum & Gardens takes you on a journey through the history of America and is the only museum of Americana outside the United States. It's set in 125 acres of outstanding natural beauty and provides a range of activities for the whole family. 

The museum features collections from the United States and the rooms recreates different periods of America history.

The exhibition gallery is where you'll find some unique American product and they have a rotating programme of temporary exhibitions showcases different American culture. Such as music, history, photography and fashion. 

The gardens have beautiful views across the valleys and have even been designed by famous American landscaper Oehme Van Sweden. The gardens represent some of the most iconic movements in America.

Theres even a replica from George Washington's famous house! Take a walk along the wildness trail or amphitheatre for some fun too! 

There's a dedicated children's garden and play area, with craft activities on the weekends and school holidays in the stables. 

There's also lots of games and dressing up clothes in the museum where you can try on historic American clothing too! 

They do have child-friendly exhibitions too, such as LEGO bricks and dinosaurs. The museum is really family-friendly and is the perfect day out, no matter how old you are!
