History of the School Days Museum is an educational environment as told through informative displays, vintage artefacts and sympathetic scene recreation. It has lots of artefacts, materials and a research facility for all of those interested in education!
Step into the past where you'll find blackboard, chalk and furniture that was all used in public schools, dating back from the mid-19th centurary. Kids can try their hand with a quill pen, marvel at the difference in discipline and sit at the antique desks while learning about the evolution of scholastics.
There are lots of new displays regularly, with a classroom corner, student artefacts and science artefacts too so you can see how times have changed over the years. Don't forget to check out the school graduates too with their pictures showcased around the museum! They run events throughout the year too, including on Halloween so give them a follow on social media to stay up to date.
