Explore, create, and discover at the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Excavate in a realistic quarry, make your own fossil replica, or take a guided hike through the badlands. The Royal Tyrrell Museum is Canadas only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology. In addition to housing one of the worlds largest displays of dinosaurs, the Museum offers a wide variety of creative, fun, and educational programs that bring the prehistoric past to life.

There are so many exhibits to enjoy! The fossils in focus exhibit contains individuals bones that were digitized and 3D printed as the original bones were too delicate to be cast, along with many more exciting exhibits. You'll also find lots of activities too. Experience the thrill of sxcavation in the simulated outdoor dig, search for fossils, see real dinosaur remains and a hike through the badlands! 

Make a fossil cast that is yours to keep and touch some real fossils and head to the outdoor amphitheatre presentation to see an exact replica of a small dinosaur skeleton and learn about the prehistoric world. 

You can follow an interpretive path from the museum and explore the surrounding badlands, where the 1.4km loop takes you through the Midland Provincial Park.
