The Royal BC Museum is one of the foremost cultural institutions in the world. Since 1886, they have been British Columbia's provincial museum, collecting artifacts, documents and specimens of BC's natural and human history, safeguarding them for the future, and sharing them with the world.
There are lots of collections to discover. The natural history collection features mammalogy, invertebrate zoology, botany and much more. There's are human history where you can explore the BC arcaeology and indigenous collections too, as well as modern day history.
The exhibitions include indoor, outdoor and online exhibits. Some are permanent and some are travelling, so make sure you check the website so you know what's happening where and when. You'll find Thunderbird Park with original carvings to explore, Helmcken House and St Ann's Schoolhouse and a native plant garden and much more.
For schools, there's so much to learn with the whole class through a variety of educational programs and activities.

There are six access ramps located outside the museum building. Transport-style wheelchairs are available for use within the museum on a first-come, first-served basis. These are available the box office in the main lobby, and they are receiving enhanced cleaning measures.
