The Railway Coastal Museum a non-profit museum that showcases the history of the railway and coastal boat service in Newfoundland.The museum houses a 1940’s era diorama of a passenger train, 28 models, murals, and paintings, a train park, and a dockyard exhibit.
The Railway Coastal Museum’s home is in the 107 year old train station building, located at 495 Water Street West in St. John’s. It occupies the entire ground floor, and including the passenger platform. The two upper floors house the St. John’s City Archives and Records, and the social rooms of the CN Pensioners.
Not only do we have amazing exhibits but we also offer train themed birthday parties, a great gift shop, and guided tours for groups of all ages!
