Point Pleasant Park is one of Halifax Regional Municipality's great civic spaces. It is the largest forested park on the Halifax peninsula and offers fine views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a 75 hectare wooded park that is filled with winding trails and wide paths that are all wheelchair-accessible. You can experience the preserved ruins, coastal ecosystems and cultural resources which makes for a great day out forall the family.
Head out on bikes and cycle the paths or head out on foot for a cultural walking tour. There are also performances by the Shakespeare by the Sea theatre group too! The park can get crowded at peak times, but generaly it's a calm experience for a relaxing stroll or some more vigorous exercise! There is a step by step instruction for the 4.3km trail adventure and will take 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete as you travel back in time and become a spy for the French Adventure Spy Adgency!
The Black Rock Beach has great views across the harbour and plenty of places to sit and relax. The beach is where pirates were and there's lots of opportunities to play in the sand or go for a quick dip if the weather is nice!
