What is there to do?

Each animal has a story to tell, and at a family attraction like Papanack Zoo, kids can learn all about them!

Papanack Zoo is just a short drive from Ottawa, and is filled with exotic wildlife that can teach kids all about their habits and habitats. Their goal is to provide these beautiful animals with a caring and safe living space, whilst allowing families to come and enjoy, and learn, all about them.

Spend a day wandering around the enclosures, coming face to face with some of the most beautiful creatures on the planet!

You can take a stroll along the Nature Trail and visit the tigers and snow leopards or stop for an ice cream and watch the lemurs at play. Plus, Papanack Zoo has a host of events and experiences that will give you something you won't forget!

Did you know that every Saturday night from Labor Day to Thanksgiving, you can see the lions feast and hear the wolves howl as you tour the zoo as night falls? These night safari's open their gates at 6:30pm, and then you can enjoy the Guided Torch Light Tour. This is great for kids who want to experience those rarely seen nocturnal animals.

Don't miss the story-telling around the campfire, hot chocolate in hand either!

Grandparents, you get your own time too with the Seniors Safari, where you can take to their Senior Safari Bus and enjoy a guided tour and complimentary food to feed the barnyard animals!

There are also great camps for those younger ones, including the Zoo Keeper Camp where they can learn what it really takes to work at a zoo like Papanack.

Beautiful animals are waiting to say hello at this popular Canadian zoo. You'll have a ROARing time!
