Whitehorse has an amazing history, and what better place to explore it than in one of the OLDEST buildings in the entire city! The Old Log Church Museum was built in 1900 (that's over a century ago!) and now is filled with exhibits and interactive displays which tell the stories all about the early days of the explorers, whalers, missionaries and Yukon First Nations.

The museum has an impressive collection of artifacts, which even include a unique collection of Inuvaluit articles from Herschel Island. It's where kids can learn all about the conviction, spirit, and determination that the men and women had who helped shape Yukon's history.

Numerous historic photographs add to the experience which give kids and families a great means to learn all about the early contact between the Yukon First Nations and the Europeans.

Have you heard about the legendary "Bishop Who Ate His Boots"? Well, the Old Log Church Museum is the place to find out!

There are permanent exhibits, which reflect the history and role of the Anglican Church within the Yukon, as well as temporary exhibits which are always changing so you know there is always something new to see on your next visit!

The museum is located in downtown Whitehorse, and offer daily tours and interpretive programs.

If you want to spend a few hours learning some new things about the history of Whitehorse, the Old Log Cabin Museum is a fun choice. It let's kids understand how much history has really happened on the very ground you are standing!
