Nakiska Ski Resort was home to the Calgary 88 Olympic Alpine events, and today, skiers and riders enjoy Olympic-length runs that are groomed to perfection. Nakiska is a family-friendly resort. A secure beginners area with friendly ski school staff means the kids can enjoy lessons for the day while you explore Nakiskas challenging upper mountain.

The mountain enjoys between 1 and 2 feet of snow over 1 acred to 1.3 acres in an hour, so it's always snowing so you'll be guaranteed snow! The tube park is a great activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family and it doesn't require any equipment of skill! All you need is adventure! It's easily accessible and located in the base area. Nakiska Ski Resort isn't just for skiiing, but you can head out on one of their snowshoewing trails! Guided tours are available daily and there are three different trails, beginner, intermediate and advanced. 

You'll be able to rent your equipment for all snow sports at the Alpine Sport Rental Shop and if you wanted to extend your trip, they have some cozy lodges and cabins to make for a perfect getaway with the whole family. 

There are also lots of opportunities for on mountain dining and grab and go options, so you won't go hungry! There's also plenty of shops selling winter gear too, so if you do forget to bring something with you or want to upgrade your exisiting gear, you'll find it on the mountain shops!
