Fairmont Ski Area is a family-friendly ski resort, with opportunity to ski and learn for all ages. There are a total of 14 runs, ranging from green to black and you'l get to enjoy the un-crowded trails and panoramic views of the Purcell and Rocky Mountains whilst you're there.
There's also a Kids Terrain Park which has progressive features for beginner to advanced skiers and riders too. Skiing and snowboarding lessons and open routes are available, with lessons beginning at age 6 and all levels of ability catered for with route options split 20% green runs, 60% blue and the rest black. There is also a beginner friendly terrain park for developing skills, tricks and confidence. SnowPlanet is a kids' zone set up with alien themed flags and cushions to help keep them happy while they master the basics.
Whilst you're there enjoy the iconic hot springs after your adventurous day out on the slopes and sit back and relax! There are also plenty of dining options available, whether you just want to pick up a quick snack or fancy a meal out with the group. You'll also find rental shops so you can rent the latest ski gear and shops too to pick up any essentials.
Travel west on the Trans-Canada Highway. Approximately 25 km past Banff, at Castle Mountain Junction, turn south onto Highway 93 toward Radium Hot Springs. At the junction where Highway 93 meets Highway 95 (in Radium), turn south (left). Fairmont Hot Springs is about 25 minutes south of Radium.
