In an era when important landmarks are all too often sacrificed in the name of progress, Castle Kilbride stands as a monument to our heritage, our traditions, and to the commitment that the people of Wilmot Township have made to preserving our heritage.
The Castle is the most important historic building in Wilmot Township, and could certainly vie for the honour on a much broader, regional basis. This National Historic Site in Baden, Ontario offers a new and unique experience for visitors of all ages. The Castle has been restored and refurnished with scrupulous attention to detail.
Take a tour through the mansion and go back in time to the Victorian era. They have many regular exhibits that change throughout the year. Including a Toys through Time where you'll get to see dolls, cars and castles from the 1880's to the 2010's. They also have a Christmas the Castle esperience, where the table is set and the tree stands in all it's glory! They have a miniature village at this time, which features over 130 Christmas-themed buildings and figurings to look at, which is a must see!
Along with regular holiday workshops, there's so much to see and do to keep the whole family entertained and occupied.
