About this activity

Previously the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Canadian Museum of History is the perfect place to learn all about, well, history! There are a host of fascinating exhibits that you can explore, each covering it's own specific topic, and yes, they even have a Children's Museum!

Let's start with that!

The Children's Museum allows kids to travel the world as they enrich their lives and broaden their experiences. It's here they can learn all about other cultures through the exhibitions, hands-on props, costumes and artifacts.

There is even an incredible collection of toys and games too! They can clamber aboard a Pakistani bus, or ride in a Thai rickshaw. They can even step inside a Bedouin tent if they wanted! It's a great place to kids to explore!

Then you have the rest of the Canadian Museum of History to explore, what fun!

You might learn about the history and diversity of Canada's First Nations, then explore the journey of Canada as a country, driven by human stories.

The Grand Hall is an impressive visit, just as the Canadian Stamp collection is!

The museum also have travelling exhibits too, so keep an eye on dates so you can ensure you don't miss out. That also means there is something to go back to see on your next visit too!

With activities and birthday parties to top off this fascinating day exploring history and cultures of the world, the Canadian Museum of History is more than just a day at a museum. It's an experience!
