I really enjoy my visits to Butterfly World. For best butterfly viewing, go when it is hot. On cooler days there aren’t that many butterflies about. There are lots of other animals to see as well. Great spot for photographers to visit. You can get really close to most of the animals.

A large butterfly each wing about 4-5 cm X 5-6 cm Scalloped at outer edges, The outer or under side of the wings were coloured to imitate a dried leaf, being a light brown with dark brown veins. The upper or inside wings seemed to be a light blue with a pink flash. I did not see that clearly, The butterfly caught my attention when it dropped , seemingly out of a tree fluttering like a falling leaf. I went towards it and at about two meters from it, it shot up and flew away in a peculiar manner like a wind blown leaf then dropped again as if a falling leaf. I saw it do the same action about four times as it flew away. Can anyone tell me what this butterfly is and tell me more about it. Early Spring time.. Sudwala cave area,…escarpment Mpumalanga Rep. South Africa.

Liked the butterfly tropical walk, food portion was good and affordable, feels like a hot tropical jungle inside the butterfly exhibit hall. Good toilet facilities, ideally located close to the highway, a great tourist attraction. It creates life long memories.Disliked: 1. no provision for smoking customers (even though they have outside open air tables!), you have to go stand in the sun in the dusty parking area, 2. no undercover parking for cars, 3, ..snipped before I get into trouble…
