About this activity

The Brant Museum and Archives is operated by the Brant Historical Society. The Brant Historical Society seeks to broaden the understanding of our community and its people by exploring our heritage within the Brant area through innovative partnerships and learning opportunities thereby building a more inclusive and tolerant society.

The museum is dedicated to berining the history of the community to live through interactive exhibits and engaging programs. The museum have several permanent and visiting exhibits throughout the year as well as lots of events, programs and lectures and guides tours. There's over a century of collections to experience and is the best place to learn more about the history of Brantford and Brant County. 

Head out on a guided walk and learn more about the community through the early settlement history and other events, whilst enjoying a walk in nature. There are lots of walks to choose from one of which is the Brantford Canal Walk which will guide you through the reason for the Grand River Nivagiation Company and what remains of the canal. 

They also hold summer camps too which is 9 weeks of fun and is perfect for campers aged 4 - 11 years old. With stories, science, super heroes and carnivals, the summer camp will keep the children entertained all holidays.
