Boyd Heritage Museum collects and preserves artifacts and records that illustrates the activities of Mossom Boyd his family, and their business enterprises across Canada. You'll also find a gallery too where you cadmire the works from local artists that capture a moment in history.
Built in 1889, the building which now houses the museum was home to The Boud Lumber Co. The museum provides a place for cultural and heritage education and partners with other business to provide cultural activities for the area. They run lots of events too. They have book sales, a history and story evening and festive events such as a mingle jingle where you can purchase some Christmas gifts.
The mandate also conduct research for the museum and for publication purposes and it's there to interpret to the public how the village of Bobcaygeon and the Kawartha Lakes region was developed and influence economically, socially and politically by the Boyd Family and it's enterprises.
