About this activity

Bomber Command Museum of Canada commemorates all those who served with Bomber Command and the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan during World War II. They display aircraft and associated artifacts, aviation art, dvd's, and interpretive displays related to the above goals. The aircraft include Lancaster and Blenheim bombers, WW II several training aircraft, and three post-war jet aircraft.

At the museum there's lot of activities to keep the whole family entertained. The Virtual Reality Experience uses the Vaughan-Thomas' original recording which captures the danger of the bombing raid. It transports visitors inside the bomber as the crew endures endless attacks. It's the closest experience that you'll get to see the bravery demonstrated.

The flight simulator will allow you to experience flying a Lancastet during a bomber mission, whilst sitting in an actual Avro Anson Mk V Bomber cockpit section.

There's also another flight simulator which is built into a Cessna Crane cockpit section and sits next to the original simulator in the main hangar.

There's also lots of airplane tours and engine runs too which ae available throughout the year. Just check the website before your arrive so you know what's happening when and where!
