Escape from the city and experience the rolling hills of the Anglin Lake Recreation Site. Hike, camp or picnic among the towering aspen, explore the lake by watercraft, or just sit back and listen for the haunting call of the loons. Man-made channels connect the four smaller lakes that make up Anglin Lake so there are plenty of bays and islands to try your angler's luck!
The trails here are easily accessible, and well maintained with an abundance of places to go exploring under the towering aspen trees! The hiking trailhead starts at the Land of the Loon Resort and takes you along Jacobsen Bay and a small lake, so you can even go fishing if you fancy it! Once you cross the bridge, you'll find the bulk of the trails.
There are lots of other amenities too including picnic areas, beach and also lodging if you fancy extending your stay. If you fancy camping, there is free firewood, drinking water, firepits and group campaing options available too.
The Anglin Lake Recreation Site is on Highway 2 and north of Christopher Lake by about 25km. You will see a large sign that directs you west towards the park.
