The Amethyst Mine is an exciting place to explore, but if you want to be a proper adventurer you'll need to know the basics. Amethyst Mine Panorama is the number one place to find Ontario's official gemstone and February's birthstone. Enjoy guided and self-guided tours and collect your own Amethyst. 

The self-guided tours contained a series of interpretative panels that highlight the history and minerology of the mine! There are amethyst echibit stones, with signs and descriptions and all visitors are encouraged to real and view the stones as you please. There are guided walking tours that place too and hours vary, so if you would like to learn more just simply ask one of the tour people. 

For schools and groups there are tours available and all tours can be customised for your needs, including classes and birthday parties too. Onsite, you'll find picnic areas and a gift shop, where there is a selection of amethyst jewellery, crafts and other items available for you to take home a souvenir to remember your day by.
