It is a popular place for family gatherings and lakeside picnics on the shady lawns, so why not join them on your next family day out!

At the Wittunga Botanic and Butterfly Garden there are brilliant displays of ericas and proteas in spring, plants from Kangaroo Island and Fleurieu Peninsula, a new grey box forest and a beautiful butterfly garden for all to enjoy.

There are twenty four interpretative signs installed throughout the garden, stationed alongside the relevant plant, so kids get the excitement of finding the signs, plus you all learn something, bonus!

You can spend time in the gardens on your own, or you can join the free guided walks depart every Tuesday at 10:30am (except on days over 36C forecast) from the car park of Shepherds Hill Road. A beautiful day in nature, and it has your name all over it!
