About this activity

Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is a great way to introduce kids to the Aboriginal culture - one of course that has been going long before Australia was even recognised as a country!

A great historical and cultural experience, they can witness the traditional Tjapukai culture with authentic music, dance and storytelling by the Tjapukai people.

The world’s oldest living culture is brought to life by Aboriginal performers who engage guests with interactive activities such as didgeridoo playing, face painting and of course, the boomerang throwing. (Can you make it come back to you!?)

It's also a great way to teach them about Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef’s traditional rainforest people.

They will love the exciting audiovisual effects and entertaining choreographed shows that represent their genuine cultural experience.

The park is great for families just looking for a day out, or something a bit more extended because they offer a fascinating night tour.

Kids won't be short on things to do, from didgeridoo playing (that's a tough one!) to enjoying bush tucker, stone painting and boomerang throwing, the little ones taking the Bibunbay Kids' Program get special attention in this unique program for children to enjoy their Tjapukai Aboriginal culture experience.

Tjapukai is Australia’s largest Indigenous cultural park (pretty impressive!) and is in the Guinness Book of Records as Australia’s longest running stage show (Even more impressive!)

The Cultural Park has been built on traditional Tjapukai land in a rainforest setting kids will love to explore. It also highlights the environment enjoyed by the Indigenous people of the area.

An important cultural experience for any family.
