Coffs Harbour's most famous "Big" icon would have to be The Big Banana! (Of course, we don't mean a real one!)
This need to see to be believed structure is located just north of Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, 565 kilometres north of Sydney and 450 kilometres south of Brisbane is probably the most well known "Big Thing" in Australia. (there are more! The Merino, the Prawn, the Potato....go figure!)
The Big Banana has a ton of really fun attractions for the entire family!
The main feature is the water park, popular with families on those hot Aussie summer days. The Big Kahuna is exciting from the moment you begin! Watch out for that midway hump - let us know how it makes your stomach feel!
The little ones will love the Lil Splash Slide which can be used as a dry slide, or as they say, just add water!
And of course, the Big Hippo - one of the largest inflatable water slides in the WORLD! (It's over 3 stories tall!) It's pretty much as good as inflatable slides get! Kids over 3 will get a kick out of the 53m long experience!
Of course, it's not just the water park. There is an ice rink that you can take a spin around on, and an incredibly heart pumping Laserforce Arena. Making your way through swirling fog in the dimly lit area, you will take on this combat challenge with your team - armed with the latest in laser phasers!
If you fancy something a little calmer at the end of the day, there is a 36 hole mini golf course. Every hold is hand sculpted to make it super challenging!
The Big Banana...it's a bunch of fun!
