"Where do you want to go today kids? Gaol?" Old Dubbo Gaol is a fascinating insight into 19th century prison life in Australia. The completely restored historic gaol is the perfect way for kids to learn what life would have been like for those inmates. As you walk around, you can experience animatronics and holographic displays which give you a realistic insight into this bygone era!

Spend some time walking around their unique collection of historic buildings and artifacts, and hear some pretty harrowing and interesting tales of prison life!

You might even want to spend some time in the pitch black solitary confinement area - certainly to send that chill up your spine!

The way to see the gaol is a self-guided tour, and perhaps you might catch some of the characters in costume that can interact with you and let you know know fun facts and stories! You can explore the grounds, and check out all of the displays, and maybe even run into the ghost of the gaol! spooky! It's also amazing to see some original artifacts in person - can you imagine the people that would have actually used them?

Do you dare to experience Old Dubbo Gaol at night? Boo...we dare you! See the gaol in a whole other light, with night tours perfect for those older kids, and family friendly twilight tours for those smaller kids (a little less scary for them!)
