About this activity

For kids who just LOVE animals, what better place to take them on a fun family day out than a zoo? But why not take them to a zoo that is committed to the survival of endangered animals? What a fascinating and eye opening experience that would be for them.

Mogo Zoo is a beautiful and privately owned zoo, that is located just 10km south of Batmen's Bay in the picturesque and historic gold mining village of Mogo. (hence the name!)

The guys here are completely dedicated to the survival of beautiful endangered species, and they want to teach the kids all about them!

Kids can learn about over 40 rare and exotic species - where are their natural homes, why are they there, and importantly what has happened for them to become endangered, and what can be done to change it.

With over 200 animals (including the very special White Lions of "Timbavati", the zoo also has the largest primates in any private zoo in the country!

If you want to give your children a REALLY special experience, they can take part in the interactive animal encounters. Not just getting up close to one, we mean feeding a white lion, or getting in and playing with the playful meerkats! How does that sound!?

These encounters are an additional cost to the entry, but are memories that will never be forgotten.

When you first arrive, have a look at what keeper talks and feeding sessions are on.  These sessions occur at 10:30am and 1:45am every day (although varies through the holidays) - you won't want to miss out on the talk with your favourite animal!

A beautiful experience with a cause!
