The Christmas lights were beautiful you should go. However I just want to warn all travelers that you can be ripped off bye the staff working the ticket counter I am from the USA. When I arrived around 7:15 pm and got to the cashier I handed over my credit card and she stuck it in the credit card reader then the electric went out along with the phone lines, we waited about 15 minutes the electric came back on but not the phone lines. There was no way to verify whether the charge went through. So I was required to pay $50 cash since there was no way to verify the charge. The Cashier was concerned and said you should check your credit card statement later to see if the charge went through and yes it went through. This morning I went twice to the ticket counter explained the situation was told basically tough luck. The people working there blamed everything on the main office but when I asked them where is the main office they didn’t know. I would like my refund but somehow there just isn’t any way to get one from the Hunter Valley Gardens. They must really need the money!

A great day out for the whole family in the Hunter Valley. Put on some comfy shoes, sunscreen and get ready to walk. There is so much to see that you can easily spend the whole day in the garden. Because each garden has a different style you don’t get bored of seeing the same thing over and over. The nursery rhyme themed garden is so much fun for all ages; yes I sat on the wall next to Humpty to get a photo. If you are there at Christmas time make sure you stay to see the Christmas Light Spectacular at night time. They will be the best Christmas Lights you will ever see!

Eye candy to the max. Peaceful and serene surroundings. Something for everyone to enjoy. No long-winded latin names to read. A perfect day out for the family. Move over Butchart Gardens, there is a new sheriff in town.

the deal was the poorest nothing thing I have ever encounted $ 90 for a family pass what a rip off, the sled ride was ridiculous I envisaged a snow machine and a sled ride down a hill not a slippery dip, I could of stayed at home and went to the park with the kids instead of driving 3 hours there, even my 10 year old daughter said” is that it”. over all very poor over priced .

Sorry for the dismal rating, but on the weekend i brought my family for a picnic to your gardens. Unfortunately we had to leave and find another location for our picnic due to the helicopter that made it impossible to talk. i understand that there is a large interest in helicopter rides, and projected potential sales where there are a group of people for the helicopter company, however as a person trying to enjoy a picnic with family i rarely see i thought this was intrusive.I will be hesitant to schedule anything furthermore and would like you to consider families that may not be there for the interest portrayed by your event co-ordinators.
