Healesville Sanctuary

About this activity

Healesville Sanctuary is home to endangered and rehabilitated animals, and feature such exhibits as Dingo County, Land of Parrots, World of the Platypus and more.

Kids can look around their wildlife health centre and watch as they treat injured, ill and distressed wildlife. There are also Fearsome To Awesome reptile shows and a bird of prey display.

There is a walk through interactive multi media section just for kids called Lunar’s Secret Forest which focuses on the endangered Leadbeater’s Possum and includes themed activities using educational technology.

All zoo members, you no longer need to book in advance to enter the zoo. Simply swipe your card at the gate. Non-members must still book online beforehand (membership cards cannot be used for entry).

You must pre-book a zoo ticket 30 days in advance if you are not a member. Babies are not included, so everyone must have a pre-booked zoo ticket before visiting the zoo.

Children under 15 must hold a pre- booked ticket when visiting the zoo, even if it's a free day.
