About this activity

Have you ever wanted to come face to face with the largest reptiles on the planet? If you're in Alice Springs, Crocodylus Park is THE place to be!

Crocodylus Park has been researching, and working on the conservation of these amazing creatures for 30 years, and it's with knowledge that the park has been built.

Can you guess how many crocodiles the park has? Ready? Over a thousand! How amazing is that!? They range from teenie tiny hatchlings around 30cm long, or those HUGE adults that you always see in pictures. They can measure up to 4.8m and weigh over half a ton!

You might think Crocodylus Park is all about crocodiles. Well, whilst they are a main part, they also have an array of other wildlife that the kids can encounter, giving them a much more diverse educational experience.

The park has primates, big cats, other reptiles, and even birds. They even have a new Meerkat Encounters section where you can actually go and hand feed the meerkats yourself!

They LOVE filling the children with knowledge about the crocodiles, which is why they have guided crocodile feeding tours daily, as well as a Croc & Eco cruse, where you can enjoy much more information on how wonderful and special these creatures are.

During your visit to Crocodylus Park, make sure you spend some time in the air-conditioned museum, which is often seen as a highlight of the trip. Spend as long as you like here, because you can learn so much - from the origins of the crocodiles, to how many different species there are.

Did you know that the largest crocodilians that ever lived were about 40 feet - can you imagine finding that on your nature walk! We certainly can't!

Get ready for a SNAPPY family trip out to Crocodylus Park!
