About this activity

Have you ever had a kangaroo eat out of the palm of your hand? At Cleland Wildlife Park  you can do this any day of the week with their special animal feed that you can purchase when you first arrive. The hungry bandicoots, bettongs and potoroos which run free throughout the park also enjoy being hand fed and patted by visitors, and are a favourite of small children. Emus and kangaroos also enjoy the food pellets and even the stunning arrays of birds will come close to people who throw them on the ground nearby. Please be careful though, as human food can be dangerous to native animals.

The Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre, just inside the entrance to Cleland Wildlife Park, takes you on an interactive journey through the South Australian natural environment. Through fascinating hands on and visual activities learn about the state's diverse landscapes. See for yourself the lasting impact we have on our fragile environment and how we can all work towards securing its future.

Cleland Conservation and Wildlife Park is also home to the famous Waterfall Gully-Mount Lofty Summit trail, which is walked by over 100,000 visitors every year.
