About this activity

If your kids love trains, then you might just want to make a stop at Casino Mini Rail and Museum! Not only can you learn about local rail history, but you can actually enjoy a real train ride too! The railway track is a dual gauge line consisting both 7¼ & 5 inch gauges, and also happens to be the largest dual gauge track in NSW, AND the second largest in the entire country, so we're impressed already!

A round trip on the mini rail is around 25 minutes, and all of the drivers are trained, qualified and licensed, so parents, you can just sit back and enjoy the ride and not worry.

You can just help the kids try and spot the local wildlife that are common sights along the journey.

Did you know that the Casino township is known as the “Beef Capital of Australia” (it really is!) and the mini rail is ranked as one of the towns major attractions, so it's worth a stop when you are in the area!

All members of the mini rail and museum are volunteers where all proceeds raised are generated back into the mini rail & museum, so you can really support a local gem by taking a ride!

The volunteers are also a great resource for those inquisitive kids who want to ask a lot of questions!

All aboard, your time at the Casino Mini Rail and Museum is about to start!
