If you want to experience something amazing, head to Albany Wind Farms! Only 12km from the city centre of Albany you will find yourself about 80km above the Southern Ocean, with incredible views, and surrounded by one of the best examples of wind farms in the world!

Albany Wind Farm is not only a stunning location to visit, where the kids will marvel at the views, but it's also a great way to teach them about sustainable energy. It's here that these wind turbines are connected to the Albany electrical system, where they create enough energy to supply Albany with 80% of their needs!

How amazing is that!

The turbines are eco-friendly, and are surrounded by board walked pathways so it really makes it a beautiful place to visit. You can stroll along the coast, exploring the bushland around you.

Check out the Sand Patch Coastal Platform between May and October, because you might just spot a Southern Right or Humpback whale!

Albany Wind Farm also has an information centre, which is well worth stopping at, so kids can understand a bit more about what they are seeing. There are also information panels in the area too, so even more learning! Yay!
