Did you know that Dover was founded in 1683 (That’s a long time ago!) and it is the capital city of the country’s FIRST ever state! (That’s Delaware to geography fans) . This also gave the city plenty of time to create amazing places to visit with kids, and it worked!
Dover has an incredibly history, so naturally museums feature a lot. The Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village has great exhibitions from the advances over the centuries. They can also explore the Air Mobility Command Museum which have some pretty cool aircraft on display!

Outdoor space in the middle of a city? There is in Dover! Silver Lake Park is a whopping 182 acres of playgrounds, and lakes for boating, fishing and even water skiing! Schutte Park and Dover Park are great for those land sports like tennis and basketball.
