Sydney Family Fun

OUR GUIDE TO FAMILY FUN IN SYDNEY!

Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world - and incredibly kid friendly to boot! There is so much to see and do in the city alone, not to mention all the great day trips available from this beautiful place.

The city itself offers enough fun and family friendly activities to keep you entertained for an entire WEEK, let alone your day out. There are the classics, but then there are some great hidden treasures.

You can’t go past the Sydney Opera House for a visit. Those famous sails are home to some great tours just for kids to introduce them to the Australian culture. Don’t forget the Harbour Bridge ! We dont mean just crossing it either, we mean CLIMB it! The twilight tours are always the most popular to see the lights all come on across the city. Don’t worry - you’re strapped in!

And of course Luna Park - those iconic teeth glaring out from behind the bridge offer amusement park fun for the whole family!

Moving a bit away from the city itself, Sydney Observatory is great to see the stars and the planets, and learn a bit more about our incredibly solar system, and the ever popular zoo with probably the best views in the world - Taronga Zoo - are great experiences for kids!

But what about those hidden gems? Did you know that Cockatoo Island has Challenge Trails?  Grab the ferry or water taxi (or even on your own kayak!) and grab the challenge packs - then follow the clues around the island!

Did you know in The Rocks you can actually see those famous candies being made? At Sticky Candy Artisans you can watch the process that has made candy for kids over many many years!

And for the brave? Maybe you want to check out Q Stations Family Ghost Tours! That’s right - head to where the first immigrants were quarantined, and some weren’t so lucky! Maybe you will encounter them once again….spooooooky! Not really for the younger kids but from about 7 years they will love to hear all the gory stories of the past!

Sydney may be incredibly pretty (and very safe!), but it’s also full of history, adventure and family fun. There are so many family things to do here that you will need a lifetime of family days out to experience them all!

Better get started then….!
