Where are we going today?

Zootastic Park is an educational zoo with a great selection of well cared for mammals, birds and reptiles in comfortable habitats for close up study and enjoyment. Features include a Western Town, multiple Animal Barns, and the Exotic Animal facilities.

They are also now offering Cub Encounters with the baby animals! You will have an opportunity to learn up close and personally about big cats while you interact with one of their baby cubs for 30 minutes. You get to pet and play, possibly give them a bottle if it's feeding time. You may also take pictures and video of your experience so the kids will never forget.

Doing our bit!

Zootastic Park is a working zoo that strives to ensure the greatest care for its animals. Zootastic Park has adopted neglected animals to rehabilitate them to health. Zootastic Park will be working with some animals that are headed towards extinction to help preserve their species.

Teachers Corner

They offer educational sessions where experienced staff will guide your group through different hands-on learning environments. These sessions were developed by a teacher like you to meet NC Standard Course of Study learning strands in Math, Science and Social Studies.

Can I have one of those?

The General Store features an array of fascinating gifts from around the world: jewelry, African art objects, clothing, books, and music; and, of course, they have the usual souvenirs, T-shirts, hats, film, and treats.
