Where are we going today?

Love animals? Love farms? Love family fun? Love ice cream? Love mini golf? If you said yes to all of those things, then you might want to head on over to Young's Jersey Dairy in Ohio!

Young's Jersey Dairy began all the way back in 1869, when that famous red barn was build. Over time, the farm grew, and today it's a place where families just like yours can have a great time on your family day out!

There are a host of activities to fill your day on this working farm - are you excited to hear all about them?!

Let's start with The Dairy Store, where you can tuck into homemade ice cream, as well as other meals throughout the day. It's pretty tasty - we'll warn you!

Of course, Young's is a working farm, so get ready for some animal fun! The working dairy farm is filled with goats that you can pet, or you can watch the cows being milked. There are other animals there to surprise you too!

Love mini golf? Then check out Udders and Putters - the TWO mini golf courses! Such a fun way for the family to spend some time trying to get that hole in one. You know you want to! If that wasn't enough, there are barrel tides around the farm, as well as a fun slide that is pretty fast and furious!

For those younger farmers in the family, the Cowvin's Kiddie Corral is the perfect pace for them to have their own kiddie sized fun, and let's not forget those seasonal activities either! From corn mazes to pumpkin festivals - there is always something on!

Trip down memory road tonight - I have three sets of memories about this place - one as a child visiting my older siblings at CSU with my parents on just about every fall weekend, as a college student and the other as a father of a young family spending family vacations in the area of all places. Service is slow but worth it. Yellow Springs Ohio is known for being the Berkeley of the Midwest.

I have patronized Young's since moving to the area in 1969. I can remember about half a dozen incarnations of the business including donut shop, convenience store, cheese shop, full service bakery, and of course today's cow themed tourist trap.

This review pertains only to the Golden Jersey, not the entire Young's complex. There just isn't any way to sugar coat it, the food at the Golden Jersey is AWFUL! Prior to today's visit, it has been at least 5 years since I had been to the Golden Jersey. My previous trips had been unspectacular. Frozen...Read More

Awesome. I love going here. It is a very nice place to take your girlfriend. Good ice cream, animals and games like the driving range and hitting range.

We drove from Columbus to take our grandchildren. We will not be going back. I would describe everything as average and not worth the time or money. The ice cream was good, but nothing exceptional, especially if you are used to Graeters or Jeni's. I felt that the condition of the miniature golf course and the slide could have been better and the goats were too close to the outdoor eating spot. On the web site there was info about buying wrist bands instead of tokens or tickets, but I could not find where to buy them. There was no real obvious place...Read More

Frozen and canned foods prepped with no care and served lukewarm. I had no intention of ever returning. But my father insisted that he had heard that the food had improved and wanted to go back. So we did.

We arrived at about 5:00PM on 8/24/2014 and were seated immediately. Service overall was more than adequate and the prices are fair. We placed our order and served an first course of cole slaw, apple sauce and a nut bread. The cole slaw was so-so, the apple sauce was from a jar, and the nut bread was actually pretty good.

My mother and wife both ordered liver and onions. The liver was so tough that my wife ate only two bites, pushed it aside and gave up. She said it tasted bad. My mother was more stubborn and ate her entire plate, excused herself and went to the restroom and threw it up. It was that bad.

My father ordered the special of the day which was Barbecued Ribs. He liked the ribs but complained that they were greasy. He had the green beans which were clearly from a can and were served barely above room temperature. They looked awful.

My son ordered a hot dog and french fries. He liked the fries, but said the hot dog tasted "cheap". How do you mess up a hot dot?

I ordered the Breaded Pork Tenderloin which was served still frozen in the center. The gravy was clearly from a can as was the side of corn which was served at room temperature. I ate most of the meal and sat with my father outside while my wife, son and mother visited the corn maze. Within 20 minutes, I was queasy and vomiting. End of story.

My family has for years referred to the Golden Jersey as the "Dripping Udder". Dan Young, you should be ashamed of your food, it is just plain bad!

There was no real obvious place to get information when we first arrived.
