Quiet night, comfortable, simple, clean cabins so I quickly fell asleep. Early in the morning, it seems that never had such a good sleep.
Daytime landscape mention: So Breath taking! Really heaven on earth! Within a month since I've been three times to drive. For what? Is three words: Straight to look at!

My heart belongs in Yosemite. Home away from home. A place to go to 'get away from it all' and really get some soul searching in. Please, if you visit, throw your trash away accordingly. We all would love our grandchildren, etc. to be able to appreciate this beautiful place in its natural glory.

Nope; not for me. 2½ hours each way not counting traffic jams. You generally take CA-99. I went on Monday, Oct 6th '14. Yosemite Valley is a ten mile slot with two service roads blasted between the granite . There are trailheads; but with limited parking. Imagine solitude amongst a thousand tourists. The end of the road was a Visitor center at Yosemite Village; 6 people in line to buy postcards; 13 people in line for free advice. Yosemite Village literally has its own U.S. District Court; It has a private driveway. No need to drive to town on those federal felonies. My summation: It was probably better when Teddy Roosevelt visited.
