Where are we going today?
Sometimes you find a gem within nature, and World's End State Park is one of them!
In fact, this 780 acre park is actually hidden within the Loyalsock State Forest, so take the camera because the rugged natural beauty and endless mountains are something to remember!
World's End State Park is located within a narrow S-shaped valley, and has a host of activities waiting for families to enjoy. If you love the great outdoors, you're going to love it here!
On those warmer days, there is a small dam on the creek which is a great swimming area from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The mountain stream water is always exhilarating, so deep breath!
Think the park is just for the summer? Think again! During Fall, the foliage is some of the most beautiful in the area, and come winter there are several areas that are actually suitable for Nordic skiing! There is a 20 mile trail is close by. There are also several miles of park roads which can be jointly used as snowmobile trails.
Hikers will love the 20 miles of trails, as they offer a lovely challenge. Most of the trails are rocky with steep sections, so wear proper shoes and it's not recommended for younger kids - but those who take it on will love the views!
If it's the water you love, then Loyalsock Creek is packed with trout, and the mountain water offers good fishing all year round. Whitewater boats are allowed too, with best water from March to May.
Take a picnic too - there are plenty of tables and what a great place to enjoy a family lunch!
Beautiful nature is waiting for those outdoor loving families - let's go!

Was just there this past weekend. Beautiful place, seemingly in the middle of nowhere with the exception of a car cruising past along Route 154 which is literally right next to many campsites. Would I camp here again? Absolutely!

The view is not as impressive as I thought. Really small park but still very beautiful.
