Where are we going today?
Kids, did you ever think you could be in Oklahoma, and spending the day surrounded by 3,700 acres of wildlife preserve, where native and exotic wildlife roam all around you?
Welcome to Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve! Established back in 1925, it's where kids can have amazing animal encounters, as well as learn all about art, culture and history too!
Let's start with the preserve itself. With over 30 species, it certainly feels the animals of the world have all come to YOU! Once you enter the Woolaroc grounds, you are welcomed with a 2 mile drive that takes you through the animal preserve, and back to the main complex.
It's during this drive that you might feel you are on an adventurous safari around the plains of the USA or Africa! Get those explorer hats on! The animals here roam freely, so kids can witness just how they would be in their natural environments. No zoo cages at Woolaroc!
This also means that around every bend there could be a new surprise, as you just don't know what you are going to encounter next! Maybe it will be the American Buffalo, or the elk, or perhaps the longhorn cattle - all icons of the USA!
How about coming face to face with the adorable Japanese Silka deer, or the North European fallow deer? You might spot the fast ostriches, or the llamas, or find species that you had never heard of before, like the aoudad!
Once you have finished, you can explore the Woolaroc Museum, where you can see one of the most unique displays of Western art and artifacts. There is also a briliiant collection of Native American art and artifacts, where kids can really gain an understanding about the incredible culture and traditions.
Don't miss the fun children's playground and petting zoo too - they know what kids love!
So why not experience a wonderful day of animal encounters, and unforgettable learning at the Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve - the animals are waiting for you!

This is a great place, so beautiful but the vacuum buffalo is gone. It was so much fun as a small child letting it suck trash out of my hand. It actually was a stuffed bison but everyone says buffalo.

Woolaroc is a MUST SEE in Oklahoma. Enjoy driving around the preserve and seeing the beautiful animals roaming freely, and explore the massive museum full of artwork, artifacts and information about Oklahoma's past. My first time to Oklahoma. Kids had a blast. We met my sister and her family there. The museum was great it was like nothing I'd ever seen. The kids enjoyed the petting zoo. We all enjoyed the mountain men thing.... We got to throw an axe and shoot a gun. Learned alot of Native history. The staff was great and very friendly. We forgot a thimble that we had bought our mom. Well the ladies ran into us in Barnsdall and they had put it up for us. Thank you much for the great experience:-) also enjoyed all the animals.

Woolaroc is more wonderful than one would expect. Their collection is amazing and so well displayed. If you've not been there put it on your to do list. Take a lunch and spend the day. We had a wonderful time there today.

What an awesome learning experience! There are so many things to do and see that we are going to have to come back. My kids are having a blast. The price to get in was very reasonable! I highly recommend this place!
