The Wilderness Station in Tennessee is all about giving families a chance to explore the nature and wildlife around them, whilst being able to get active and learn about what they are experiencing.

Not only is this a facility for schools to visit, but it's open to the public - and families just like yours! On your visit, you can enjoy programs that cover a wide range of subjects, but they aren't your regular programs! At the Wilderness Station, you learn through campfire programs, and interpretive hikes, and river explorations. Pretty amazing!

The programs cover topics such as "Wild Things", "Tales and Trails", and "Puppets on the Porch". They are perfect for kids, and those nature lovers in the family too.

Did you know that at the Wilderness Station there are a whopping 275 acres of back country area ready to be explored via hiking trails? In fact, there are around 5 miles of trails, which start at the Wilderness Station, and offer paved portions through the hardwood forest. These lead to a very cool River Overlook and the campground!

Keep an eye out for the wildlife along the way, including turkeys, bobcat, deer and even Barred Owls!

The TreeMendous Tree Trail is super fun too, and runs along the first 0.7 miles of the paved trail. There are twelve stations that feature along it, and each marked by a number. Just grab the Tree Trail map and learn all about the very cool plants you are seeing along the way!

Don't miss picking up the FREE educational backpacks either, as each backpack has a different theme, and includes a specific learning program on that theme. Learning made fun!

I brought my three boy's to to Wilderness Station and was very impressed! There was a lot of dental work that needed to be done and Dr. Marty explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I was informed of the the cost before the procedures so I knew what to expect. The entire staff and Dr. Marty were so kind and everyone was smiling. Most importantly, my boy's had a great experience and now look forward to going to the Dentist.

My kids LOVE going to the dentist! Dr. Killeen has a great ability to speak with kids and parents - better than any other health professional we see for our kids. During our first visit he spent at least 20 minutes with us just to get to know my kids and our family. The office is inviting, from the lobby with the model train to the Disney movies showing during appointments and the prizes afterward. He makes it easy for kids to understand how they are doing with their dental health and what they can do to improve. Highly recommend.

The entire staff was WONDERFUL with my 8 year old daughter. She had to have 4 teeth pulled and was very apprehensive to even go back. They were very patient with her and made her feel comfortable to go back and during the procedure, they made her feel at ease. I will definitely go back and would recommend them to all my friends. Thank You Wilderness Station Pediatric Dentistry for making my daughters experience a good one.

Dr. Marty and his staff are awesome! My kids love going there! They don't get nervous about it. They are excited to go there. Knowing that your children are calm and that they feel safe, is priceless!
Dr. Marty is extremely thorough. He cares about each child. He goes the extra mile. He is very accessible. I was able to reach him when he wasn't in the office, due to an emergency. He also takes the time to talk after an appointment. He's very detailed and professional, and he's very gentle and welcoming at the same time.

We have been bringing our children here since their first dental check-up. They LOVE going to the dentist. It gives me reassurance that they like to go and they feel grown up being able to walk back by themselves. We live 30 miles away and would highly recommend Dr. Marty! For us it is worth the drive. All of the staff are very friendly. Thank you Dr. Marty and Staff!
