Where are we going today?

Our historic museum building was built in 1939 to serve as the Coast Guard's Lifeboat Station, Grays Harbor. The Colonial Revival structure served in that role until 1972 when a new station was built several blocks to the South. The Maritime Museum opened in the Old Coast Guard building in 1985.

Had a really enjoyable couple of hours exploring the Yorktown and the Clamagore. Also found the mock up Vietnam era Fire Base informative. Combine this with a visit to the wonderful waterfront memorial park at Mount Pleasant and you're set for a great day out.

I docked one point as the aircraft on deck and in the Fire Base really need a little more looking after.

    Absolutely recommended.

Great experience. Can move at your own pace and see as much or as little as you'd like. The Medal of Honor museum was fantastic. Definitely worth the money.

Kids loved the ships and aircraft. Great attraction. Keep an eye on younger kids as the stairs will be tricky for them.

"Sticky fingers" food bit of a rip-off. Barbecued pulled pork = ordinary bun with pulled pork, not exciting and not worth $6...my advice, if you need to either bring your own food or drive to nearby restaurant.
