From Interstate 205, take state Highway 14 to Exit 1 toward the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. Turn left onto Columbia House Boulevard and follow Columbia under the railroad tracks to the Columbia Shores intersection. Turn east (left) at the Columbia Shores intersection onto Southeast Columbia Way and continue to head east about 3 miles. Follow the signs at the turnaround to the Center.
Where are we going today?
The Water Resources Education Centre offers a diverse range of interactive displays and environments linked in theme by H20. While entertaining there is still a strong educational bias with easy to access information targeted at a young level.
Indoor and outdoor interactive exhibits include aquaria swimming with fish, play laboratory, an aquatic art gallery, wild gardens and wildlife-friendly wetlands to explore, plus further seasonal specials.
Their Puddles Place is a colourful enclosed area specifically for 1 to 5 years olds, filled with aquatic themed toys, puppets, play equipment, and educational children's books.
