Where are we going today?

THE MUSEUM exists to provide visitors the opportunity to relate to the living environment of the early settlers from thousands of years ago in our Colby Site display of the earliest mammoth kill site in North America to settlers of the west one hundred years ago in our Time Traveler's Room with covered wagon, sheep wagon, sod house, and beautiful display of western tack, including the first full term governor's saddle.

Exhibits are very informative and professional. I especially liked the paleontology and geology. Very cool for small
    Town.

The building is an interesting piece of architecture and the location is convenient if you are in Worland; however, the permanent exhibits are much smaller and less extensive than at the Washakie Museum's previous location. From our experience this museum is NOT children friendly, especially children elementary age and younger!
