About this activity

How does stuff work?  A common question we have growing up - and The Works Museum is where you find the answers!

Perfect for kids aged 5 - 12, they can set their own pace and work with their family enjoying imaginative self-guided activites where they can design, build, create, imagine, explore and learn - the best way to do it!

The museum uses hands-on exhibits to teach kids about the basic elements of science and technology because as they say, "learning by doing is inviting, exciting and it works".  And it's true!

Kids will have a great time experimenting, and they will build their confidence as they do so because they will be problem solving as they create.

There is a fun sensor zone where they can interact with sensors in whimsical, fun and kinetic way! They can shift shapes on the wall, enjoy a full-body sensor and they can even work with a friend to control a room full of music and lights!

The Design Lab features fun projects as well as design and engineering challenges that kids can tr and solve!  Rockets, contraptions, wind turbines....all ready and waiting to be explored!

For those smaller kids who would love creative play like this, the museum hold Pre-K mornings for those curious minds aged 3 -5 and their parents.  From 9am - 12pm on select morning, they can have a go at exploring their own challenges!

The museum also hold creative kids birthday parties should they want to celebrate their next birthday with gizmos and gadgets!
